This 8-week course focuses on the theory and practice of Internal Family Systems. Not only will you learn the IFS model, but you will have the added benefit of experiencing IFS as a clinician and a client. This online course is geared for professional counsellors interested in becoming IFS-informed.
$800 + GST ($840 CAD) A payment of half can be made with your registration and the other half at week 4.
Saturdays 10-12 PM
AND a 1.5+ hour practice group with two other participants from weeks 2-7.
There is a capacity for 12 participants on a first-to-register and pay basis. The site will be updated as soon as possible once we reach capacity, however, if you happen to register after capacity is met, you will have the option to apply your payment to the next course session or receive a refund. What You Need to Know Before You Register
Here’s what you’ll need to know before you register.
- Classes will start off with an open discussion followed by a powerpoint presentation on the week’s topic, then a demo or video followed by Q+A.
- If you have to miss a class, please let me know beforehand and I will record it and email you the link. You must watch it before your practice group so you will know what to do when you meet.
- In between classes, you will have a 1.5+ hour practice groups in a triad which begins in week 2. Many participants plan on a longer time so they can reflect on and discuss their experiences. The three of you will decide on a time and venue. Each week’s practice group will have a new focus and we’ll have a chance to discuss what you experienced at the next class.
- If you can’t make a practice group, please contact the other two people in your group to reschedule.
- This course is intended to provide you with both theory and skills, along with the added benefit of experiencing IFS as a clinician and a client. It is through this experience that you will come to understand the profound shifts that can happen internally that makes IFS such an effective therapy.
- As this is an IAOT accredited course, there will be a multiple-choice test at the end.
- Course materials will be sent to you a week before the course begins.
- The course price is kept low to offer an IFS training option that is accessible and affordable.
