Philip Gilmore, Masters in Counselling, IFS Level 3
Philip works with with individual adults experiencing a wide range of problems such as phobias, anxiety, chronic pain, and depression. He works together with clients to explore and progressively release the constraints that limit our natural capacity for greater inner balance. This allows you to become less reactive to the inevitable stresses of life.
He often works using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. He has completed the level 3 training and understands the benefits of this non-pathologizing form of therapy. From an IFS perspective, all our difficulties are there for a good reason even when that seems highly unlikely!
He also uses mindfulness techniques, which can be a great first step towards healing and are very compatible with IFS. Philip is also informed by a number of other evidence based psychological theories and models such as attachment theory and humanistic counselling. Philip has completed EMDR training and is a member if EMDR Hong Kong. He is also informed by a number of other evidence based psychological theories and models such as attachment theory and humanistic counselling.
Philip is available exclusively through video or phone calls for afternoon and evening sessions only as he lives in Hong Kong, which has quite a big time difference from BC.
