I work with with individual adults and teens experiencing a wide range of issues such as phobias, anxiety, and depression. I see my job as working together with you to explore and progressively release the constraints on your natural capacity for greater inner balance, which allows you to become less reactive to the inevitable stresses of life. I often work using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, and I have completed the level 2 training. It is a very non-pathologizing form of therapy, from an IFS perspective all our difficulties are there for a good reason even when that seems highly unlikely!
I also use mindfulness techniques as I believe they can be a great first step towards healing and are very compatible with IFS. I am also informed by a number of other evidence based psychological theories and models such as attachment theory, and humanistic counselling.
I work exclusively through video or phone calls, and I am only available for afternoon and evening sessions as I live in Hong Kong which has quite a big time difference from BC.
