Are you looking for ways to build resilience and live more fully? As someone with family experience of mental health challenges, I understand the impact these struggles can have on our lives and those of our loved ones. I will support you when overwhelm tests your resilience, helping you build new resources and uncover intrinsic strengths.
My approach combines cognitive and experiential theories with an emphasis on self-compassion. I’m a proponent of the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) approach to addressing childhood anxiety and employ behavioural approaches for a broad range of anxiety symptoms. I am trained in exposure therapy for anxiety/OCD, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and improv therapy, which I offer in a group setting.
Before embarking on my Master’s of Counselling Psychology, I received my Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from UBC and spent ten years working for Indigenous communities. While helping youth and adults work towards their career and life goals, I witnessed the importance of addressing internal struggles. While I have a particular passion for helping families navigate childhood anxiety disorders, I work with anyone facing anxiety, depression, insomnia, grief, life transitions, and those seeking help as they explore living their best life. I look forward to meeting you wherever you find yourself.
