Biofeedback therapies like the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and HeartMath use science-based tools to regulate the nervous system and build resilience. These approaches help reduce anxiety and improve emotional balance by using auditory therapy and real-time heart rhythm tracking to support physiological and emotional healing.

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an auditory therapy based on years of research by Dr. Stephen Porges and is based on Polyvagal Theory. The Safe and Sound Protocol is a therapeutic listening program that uses filtered and coded music, to help people who have experienced trauma or chronic stress feel safer and relaxed in their bodies. Your trained Counsellor will have you listen to a total of 5 hours of filtered and processed music, following a customized listening schedule. You can listen to the Safe and Sound Protocol comfortably at home via an app and your counsellor will guide you remotely. You get 12 months of access to the app and the SSP, so you have all the time you need to go through the program.

HeartMath is a well researched tool that helps us learn to regulate our nervous system in real time. The accumulation of stress and anxiety dysregulates the nervous system, compromising overall health and well-being. HeartMath combines real time feedback with evidence-based techniques to restore balance to the nervous system, regulate emotions, and build lasting resilience. With HeartMath, clients can visually track their heart rhythms in real time as they shift from incoherence to coherence—an optimal state where the heart, brain, and nervous system harmonize for better health. Science demonstrates we can train our autonomic nervous system to promote balance, resilience, and well-being. Clients often express feeling more relaxed and more attuned to their body, while also feeling less anxious and less reactive
