Hello!
My name is Joelle, and I am privileged to be a part of the team at Seahorse Counselling in May. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I worked as a registered nurse for 30 years in a variety of areas with all ages. This experience informs my Biopsychosocial approach, which embraces mind-body balance and cohesion for well-being. I will bring mindfulness and compassion to working with the challenges life brings to discover the innate wisdom which already exists inside everyone. I am also informed by Humanistic counselling and evidenced-based practice, along with training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I teach and practice yoga daily, enjoy nature, and can offer walk and talk sessions if desired, in addition to in person and online appointments for both adults and youth.

Areas/Issues: depression, anxiety, grief & loss, life transitions, and self-esteem
