Carly graduated from the MEd in Counselling program through City University in August 2020. She has decided to stay on with Seahorse Counselling and Consulting after spending the last year doing her final practicum here. She spent the first year of her program working in the Comox Valley school district working with adolescents and young adults. Carly has taken an interest in working with clients on relationships, trauma, loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and a variety of other transitional life changes.
She takes a client-centered approach to her counselling practice and aims to provide authentic, compassionate support as she journeys with her clients throughout the challenges they face. She uses a variety of theological approaches in her practice including internal family systems, attachment theory, narrative, solution-focused, DBT and others as she sees fit. She hopes to work with a variety of clientele with Seahorse Counselling and consulting and enjoys meeting new people.
